Erin’s Story

I was raised on our family farm in Northwest Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Kinesiology/Sports Medicine.  An avid athlete in high school and college as well as an athletic trainer in college, after many years away from this I needed a new fitness challenge and way to get back in shape.

After many failed attempts to get in shape at your regular Globo Gym, I was looking for accountability and a competitive environment and was referred to CrossFit by co-workers. After short memberships at other CrossFit gyms, I found my home at Fern Creek CrossFit.

The family environment and supportive community is why I love our gym.  There is a place for everyone in our family!!  After almost 4 years of CrossFit, I have lost over 100 pounds and have gotten stronger and healthier than I have ever been.  Because CrossFit changed my life, I decided to become a coach so that I could help others that find themselves in similar situations.

When not at the gym, I work as a Paramedic and Educator for the City of Louisville.  In my free time, you will find me with my husband, John, also a FCCF member, and our two German Shepherd furkids, cruising through the woods in my Jeep or traveling to anywhere we can think to go!
